Montana, known as Big Sky Country, has something to please everyone and
great western hospitality is alive and well at Montana hotels and
attractions. From the wondrous Yellowstone to the majestic Glacier, Montana's National Parks inspire and astound.
Taking in everything that these parks have to offer is something that
you'll never forget. Think of Montana as a giant, natural animal preserve
with a greater variety of wildlife than any other state in the lower 48.
In Glacier, you may see elk, moose and deer foraging or mountain goats and
bighorn sheep pawing for lichens and grasses or from a safe distance you
may view a black or grizzly bear in their natural setting. In Yellowstone,
you'll find wildlife species as diverse as trumpeter swans, grizzly bear,
elk, bison, wolves and many others.

Directions
·From: Bozeman Airport. From the Airport driveway, turn right and head toward the town of Belgrade. Pass through "downtown" Belgrade, then turn left (south) onto US Highway 191 (about one mile from Belgrade). There will be a sign directing you to Big Sky. You will stay on 191 for about 45 miles. When approaching Big Sky, you will come to an intersection with a flashing yellow traffic light. Proceed through this intersection, and the lodge will be about one mile south, on the right side of the road. US 191 winds through the Gallatin Canyon, following the Gallatin River. There can be wildlife on the road at night (most often around sunset), so use caution and stay alert. ·From: Jackson, WY. In the summer, you can come one of two ways. Driving through Yellowstone Park is a little slower, but much more scenic. For the faster route, see the winter directions below. Take US 26 north from Jackson to US 89. Proceed through Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, past Old Faithful to Madison Junction. Turn left (west) and proceed to West Yellowstone, MT. Turn right (north) onto US 191 and proceed 45 miles to Big Sky. The lodge will be on your left. Yellowstone is closed to wheeled vehicles in the winter. For winter directions, take WY 22 west out of Jackson over Teton Pass to Victor, ID. Turn right (north) on ID 32 to Ashton, ID. Continue through Ashton to US 20. Turn right (north) and proceed to West Yellowstone, MT. Turn left (north) on US 191 and proceed 45 miles to Big Sky. · From: Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone has five entrances, or gates. The closest is the west entrance at West Yellowstone, MT. US 191 is the only road leading out of West Yellowstone to the north. The lodge is on US 191, about 45 miles from West Yellowstone. The road will cross into the park's border about 12 miles from West Yellowstone, and will cross back out about 12 miles south of Big Sky. The route is incredibly scenic, so be on the lookout for wildlife and photo opportunities. ·From: The north entrance (Gardiner, MT). Take US 89 north from Gardiner about 60 miles to Livingston, MT. Get onto I-90 west to Bozeman, MT (about 20 miles). Exit the interstate at Belgrade, about 5 miles west of Bozeman. Turn left (south) on to US 191. Proceed about 45 miles to Big Sky. See the above directions from the airport for details.
